Supercritical CO2 cleaning suits different applications.

Degreasing :

The supercritical CO2 used by DFD machines allows to remove the lubricants which have a rather low miscibility in water (also called : non-polar type lubricants).

Debinding :

Removing a maximum of binder in a the least time possible. During this step, the thermoplastic binder is removed thanks to a process adapted to its nature. We can notice a perfect preservation of shape of the part obtained, without any defect caused.

Supercritical CO2 enables to perform this operation healthily.

The systems are designed to filter all type of liquid. The supercritical CO2 allows to unclog the ultra-filtration systems without damaging them.

Dry cleaning :

Clothes and textiles are cleaned with a solvent instead of water.

DFD machines work in closed circuit, which allows to get the supercritical CO2 back, to filter it and to reuse it during the washing cycle instead of throwing it into the draining system.

Leather tanning :

Cleaning with supercritical CO2 enables to treat skins to transform them into leather, a supple and stable material through time, which becomes usable in different field as clothing, furniture coating, leather goods, saddlery...CO2 tanning allows a treatment without water and using almost all tanning agents as chrome or vegetal tannins. This process considers revolutionizing tanning while removing all very polluting waste usually linked to the tanning industry, and gives the leather a perfect quality. Tanning with CO2 enables to integrate other steps like tainting and nourishing in a single process.
